Holidays!?!? C’mon! Really? Yes, really. The holiday season is only about 12 weeks away! If you’re having company over for the holidays, and you haven’t evaluated the condition of your bathroom and kitchen, you might want to take a little time to do that now. These two rooms are the most renovated rooms in the fall as people prepare for the holidays. That dripping faucet, that cabinet door that won’t stay closed, the linoleum floor that curls up in the doorway, the paint job from the 70’s that doesn’t really qualify as chic retro no matter how many time you say it… Whether you need a little remodeling or a complete ‘do over’, now is the time to consider the project ahead.

The guest bathroom is a popular room to remodel right before the holidays. No one wants their guests to see an out-dated or dilapidated bathroom. The bathroom can be a simple or not-so-simple remodeling job. If you haven’t done a thing since 1972, you probably want to start from scratch. But, if you just want to spruce things up a bit, your remodeling job can be quite easy.

If you love to cook and bake at the holidays, or have family help you in the kitchen, then it may be time to make some changes there. New cabinets, countertops or flooring are probably more within reach than you think due to the number of options available. Maybe this is your chance to knock out that wall and get that gigantic island you’ve always dreamed of and those new shiny stainless appliances! Woo hoo!
